Help Desk: Playstation 3 Multiplayer White Plug on Screen

- Your internet speed is sub par and it doesn't meet the other gamers' internet speed.
- You may have a very speedy connection but the ping* of your internet speed does not meet the requirements for online gaming
- You are in a country where you are far from gaming servers.
- Your DNS** server does not support online gaming.
- Know what your internet speed and ping are. if you have a smartphone or a tablet download the Ookla speedtest app and start testing your internet speed. It is recommended to have at least a download speed of 5mbps and an upload speed of 1mbps. Any lower and the risk of getting the detector increases. Also, the ping should not be higher than 100ms. The lower the ping is, the better your internet is for gaming.
- Use a wired connection for your console. this will ensure non fluctuating internet speeds. It is not recommended to play if you are using a 3G or 4G wifi modems. Network internet has a reliability of only 70%.
- If you have slow internet, it is best to upgrade your plans. Changing times call for changing speeds.
- Manually set your DNS on your Playstation to a different server. I use Google DNS servers because it is more open and reliable
- Play at peak hours. usually, internet is very stable during peak hours and speed and ping are usually very high at these hours because few people are using the internet.
- Do not use VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) because it can interfere with gaming and it can interfere with looking for compatible players around you.

Don't forget to leave comments and suggestions below if you know a better way. :)

Values and Morals: What Is and What Should Be.
God has always taught us to love one another as we love ourselves. It is how he taught His people to live in this world. He also said that no one should discriminate. God also taught us that whomever you may be, you are welcome to enter my house.
All my life I've been taught of what is right and what is wrong and what values we are supposed to have. They also said that the Bible is our source of how to perfect or morals and virtues. This would be our guide to salvation.
Apparently, the Bible, per se, is also teaching people to discriminate, to hate and to attack people. When I see people talking in forums, comments to posts, and status updates, I often see a form of discrimination and hate, usually pertaining to the LGBT community, and most of these comments use God and the Bible to attack these HUMAN BEINGS. Sometimes, it also happens right in front of me, in the house of God, the priests or so called speakers of God themselves are belittling these people.
These leaves me conflicted and confused on what to believe. Don't get me wrong. I, for one, believe in God, the Supreme being, who created the universe that up until now, science has failed to prove. He is the only reason I see for the existence of the universe. Although, after that science seems to have prove everything. I also believe in New Testament of the Bible for this is written by people for the people leading me to believe in Jesus Christ. All other parts of the Bible, except scriptures that seem right, I personally have been conflicted to believe.
How could I say that? A lot people have always been quoting the Bible that man is made for woman. They keep saying that homosexuals have been condemned by the Lord. They keep quoting Leviticus or Timothy or anyone who "stated something" about homosexuality.
In my opinion, these people are a bunch of hypocrites and idiots who didn't read and understand the scriptures completely. God and Jesus never condemened anyone. As from understanding, the sin is basically multiple sexual acts or promiscuity, otherwise known as prostitution. Why did I call them a bunch of hypocrites? Because, Jesus told us that only God can judge the people. Nobody else in this world can judge.
Growing up, I've learned that there is a huge difference with Lust and Love. I no longer need to define that, just that from what I've learned, it will always be unacceptable if you are consumed by lust instead of love.
Values and morals are what we think is right and what we perceive as good. You don't have to base it solely on matter that has been written during ancient times. All we need to know that the basics are kindness, acceptance, love, and honesty. And from there, we build our own values.
In the end: judging people for the sake of proving one's point of view is unacceptable. Always remember that we are taught to love and accept one another. This will always be our basis for determining what is right and what is moral.
With that, I leave you with the words of Regina George "I gave him everything. I was half a virgin when I met him"
Take care everyone!
Spread the love!

Help Desk: Location Services Not Working (Apple Handheld Devices)
The following HELP DESK Article is tested for WI-FI only devices i.e. iPod Touch, iPad 2, the new iPad with Retina Display and iPad Mini
Before anything else, you should start with troubleshooting:
- Is my device connected to the internet?
- Is my device's location services turned on?
- Is my device jailbroken*?
- Is my device updated?
- Is my WiFi router on?
- Is my WiFi set for determining location?
- Perform a Hard Reset on the device. You can do this by simultaneously pressing the Power button and the Home button until the Apple logo appears.
- Once the normal screen appears (slide to unlock), proceed to Settings
- From here: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Location and Services>Warnings**>Reset
- After this one. Reset or Shut Down the device.
- Turn it back on and wait for it to Start up.
- WiFi Router problems (please refer to Apple's recommended routers for better functioning)
- Prolonged use of the device without Shut Downs or Restores.
- Jailbreaking messes up internal configurations.

Gaming: The Last of Us™ Review
Monday, 11 March 2013
Help Desk: Laptop vs. Ipad
"Which one should I get?"
I've been working around computers my entire life and even learned how to use a DOS programming (I'm that old?) and what I can say right now is that in order for us to answer that question, we will have to narrow down the PROs and CONs for each Gadget. I will also not be biased in terms of the specs of devices and would be generalizing terms for iPads, Samsung Galaxy Tab, or other related devices as Tablets.
The TABLET (iPad, iPad mini, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Tab, Blackberry PlayBook, etc)
The Advantages:
- Portable, Lightweight, Easy to Carry, Comes in 7", 9" etc.The Tablets come in small, weightless packages, no matter how thin or thick it is, it's still small enough to fit in my bag and I can carry it around the mall, to school, to the office, in the plane, without many people noticing that I am actually carrying a Tablet PC in my bag. I can use it anywhere.
- Touch My Body, Do it on the ScreenMaybe it's easier maybe it's not but touchscreen actually makes browsing emails hassle free. No more dragging no more mouse-clicking, no more keyboard sounds. Touching just the way I like it.
- No More Messy Spaghetti tangled cordsHaving a tablet will give you less cords, connections unless you are charging or needing to plug it and Sync. But other than that, who needs a cord when there's Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, etc.?
- Apps come in all shapes and sizes, but also their Prices.Nevermind having to pay for the apps, it's the functionality at the touch of your finger. There's the Apple Store, the Google Play Store or even the Windows Live Store.
- No WiFi, No Worry because I have 3G.Internet needed? you actually don't need to hook up to a WiFi hot spot You can use your Data connection even on the most remote island (provided there is cellular signal)
- Where's my printer when I need one?Having a tablet means everything but you will also need a WiFi capable or Bluetooth capable Printer for this one.
- The App store can't provideYes, the App store has tons of Apps but it doesn't really give you the document creating essentials and of course Flash is not supported that much (unless you are using Google Devices or Windows devices) so how do you get to watch your streaming sites?
- A Full pledged document reader but lacks the capabilities of a creatorWord, Powerpoint, Excel. We may have Apple creating Documents but they don't really support all types of documents.
- Where are my Drives when I need them?USB Ports, CD/DVD/BluRay Burner, LAN, SD Reader, HDMI, most are not available when using a Tablet PC
- Games are strictly AppsGone are the moments when we hook our Xbox Controller and play our favorite PC Games. All are strictly touch games.P.S. Emulating is not really the same
- Less StorageYou have a limited storage. You will not be able to expand unless you buy another. Store it on cloud drives you say? It's hard to trust that files are not being monitored.
- The Complete Non-Desktop PackageOf course you will have to look at the specs to know what a best laptop is but narrowing it down, It must have USB ports (3.0), DVD/Bluray Burner/Player, WiFi and Bluetooth (what laptop doesn't have this?), LAN, HDMI Port/s, SD Card Readers, a good Screen that has a good VideoCard for your HD Movies and Games, the Gaming Chips, built in webcam, Audio ports, multi-touch trackpads and many more. giving you a desktop on the go. Maybe you could choose a touch screen PC, too.
- OS Doesn't matter as long as programs RunWhichever you prefer, The Microsoft Office or the Mac Office, It can read, write, create, decode, process documents faster and all in one. They maybe more expensive than Apps but has much more capabilities. You're not limited to Adobe Flash data, because it can read everything and even create Flash data of your own. Browsers won't fail you anymore and you have a variety to choose from.
- No Limited MemoryYou Have your gb/tb External HDD, you have your USB Flash drives, you have your MicroSD Cards. Expand your built in memory by buying upgrades.
- Connect all your devicesFace it. No device may work limitless unless you have a PC to sync its contents. Even with the Tablets, Smartphones, DSLRs, you will need a laptop.
- Faster EverythingProcessors, Internet, Programs, everything works 3x faster or even more. And your movies, no matter what you say, it's faster and clearer on the big screen. 1080p Baby!
- Spaghetti, and It's Not Even EdibleAll those cords get tangled up unless you do something about it. And there's the fact that all my external HDD have different cables, so much for minimum working space
- Are You Carrying a Slab of Rock?Laptops are just heavy (unless you opt for a notebook minus all the drives) and let's face it, It's like carrying the stones that Moses was carrying. Then you have to bring your charger, your external drives, your mouse, your cords. I feel like a weightlifter.
- OMG, There are no available Hotspots!Emergency email sending or other emergency tweets, posts can't be done without a WiFi (unless you add another device such as a broadband stick or a MiFi)
- How do I install This? It's really not as easy as Purchase this App and voila, it's magically installed, no, you have to buy a software, plug it in, install it, choose from the menu and stuff, then something goes terribly wrong and I have to re-install or reboot.
