Social Issues: Is Gay Marriage Wrong?

Earlier this week, the world blew up because a milestone happened that will change the world forever. The US Supreme Court has legalized same-sex marriage all in it's 50 states. Same-sex couples can now get married and have the same rights as straight couples have. By the looks of it, what happened was a good thing because every human being regardless of sexual orientation now have the same marriage rights and privileges. However, for some people, this wasn't a win.

The Christian community was deeply affected by this event and it rubbed them the wrong way. Bible verses started pouring out in social media, blogs, news sites and forums. They started saying that God is about to come and will destroy those who disobey his word. They also keep pointing out that marriage is for a man and a woman and everything else is an abomination. They also started coming after the people who support the "abominations". That wasn't very cool.

Next I noticed was the LGBT community mocking Christianity in their parades. They portrayed a gay Jesus, a weird cross and many more horrific scenes on display. In the part of the LGBT community, this was outright disrespectful.

There were different opinions posted on social media, some of which came from friends and relatives. Some made absolute sense, some made no sense at all, some made a neutral argument, most just exploded with anger and pointlessness.

Life Adventures: My Person.

It's Valentine's Day and I'm here sitting around and watching some reruns of Grey's Anatomy on TV. I keep thinking to myself, what is the meaning behind the word "person" as used by Meredith and Cristina. It's not being a best friend, it's not being a sister, but it's always being a "person". And this led me to thinking "What is a person?" and "Do I have my person?"

Life Adventures: Your Love's Got Me Looking So Crazy Right Now!

"We'll find each other. We always do." - David/Prince Charming, Once Upon A Time (2011)

The month of love is back and it's ready to bring another bout of happiness and devastation to fragile hearts. Cupid is firing his bow-gun to vulnerable people repeatedly, not missing a shot. Babies are being conceived once more in those dark and mysterious areas. Yes. Love month is back and it is ready to wreak havoc once again.

Unfortunately, this blog is not about Valentine's Day itself, but it's about one of my friends, who so desperately needs love advice. (Or maybe not, I don't really care.) But before anything else, here is the trailer for the upcoming movie Fifty Shades of Grey, which is really really close to my friend's love story (at the moment).

Values and Morals: What Is and What Should Be.

God has always taught us to love one another as we love ourselves. It is how he taught His people to live in this world. He also said that no one should discriminate. God also taught us that whomever you may be, you are welcome to enter my house.

All my life I've been taught of what is right and what is wrong and what values we are supposed to have. They also said that the Bible is our source of how to perfect or morals and virtues. This would be our guide to salvation.

Apparently, the Bible, per se, is also teaching people to discriminate,  to hate and to attack people. When I see people talking in forums,  comments to posts, and status updates, I often see a form of discrimination and hate, usually pertaining to the LGBT community, and most of these comments use God and the Bible to attack these HUMAN BEINGS. Sometimes,  it also happens right in front of me, in the house of God, the priests or so called speakers of God themselves are belittling these people.

These leaves me conflicted and confused on what to believe. Don't get me wrong. I, for one, believe in God, the Supreme being,  who created the universe that up until now, science has failed to prove. He is the only reason I see for the existence of the universe. Although, after that science seems to have prove everything. I also believe in New Testament of the Bible for this is written by people for the people leading me to believe in Jesus Christ. All other parts of the Bible, except scriptures that seem right, I personally have been conflicted to believe.

How could I say that? A lot people have always been quoting the Bible that man is made for woman. They keep saying that homosexuals have been condemned by the Lord. They keep quoting Leviticus or Timothy or anyone who "stated something" about homosexuality.

In my opinion, these people are a bunch of hypocrites and idiots who didn't read and understand the scriptures completely. God and Jesus never condemened anyone. As from understanding, the sin is basically multiple sexual acts or promiscuity, otherwise known as prostitution. Why did I call them a bunch of hypocrites? Because,  Jesus told us that only God can judge the people. Nobody else in this world can judge.

Growing up, I've learned that there is a huge difference with Lust and Love. I no longer need to define that,  just that from what I've learned, it will always be unacceptable if you are consumed by lust instead of love.

Values and morals are what we think is right and what we perceive as good. You don't have to base it solely on matter that has been written during ancient times. All we need to know that the basics are kindness, acceptance, love, and honesty. And from there,  we build our own values.

In the end: judging people for the sake of proving one's point of view is unacceptable. Always remember that we are taught to love and accept one another. This will always be our basis for determining what is right and what is moral.

With that,  I leave you with the words of Regina George "I gave him everything. I was half a virgin when I met him"

Take care everyone!
Spread the love!

For Richer or for Poorer?

"97% of people work a J.O.B (Just Over Broke). All of them want an M.B.A. (Massive Bank Account). They are clueless on how to create wealth and be R.I.C.H. (Residual Income Creates Happiness), Continuously surrounding themselves with H.A.T.E.R.S (Having Anger Towards Everyone Reaching Success), and then wonder ...why they are P.O.O.R (Passing Over Opportunities Repeatedly)"

Holding On

How long is it gonna take before we see each other again? I'm kinda missing all of you right now. Some part of me is longing for the ecstatic times that we had back then. We may differ on our geographic locations, differ on our time orientations, and differ on the choices and opportunities we are having but I know that deep in my heart that you'll stay my by side, anywhere, anytime. You'll always be friends, family, and siblings to me. :)

I'll never let go.
Always take care my dearest friends.

Catch Me

"But you're so hypnotizing, You've got me laughing while I sing, you've got me smiling in my sleep. And I can see this unraveling, your love is where I'm falling so please don't Catch me...
If this is love please don't break me. I'm giving up so just Catch me..."

This is the question I keep asking myself. What's up with them? And it just shows that there is really something going on and I know I'm not allowed to meddle. Well, It's like a personal television show that I am watching daily, only this time, it's live.

Capturing Moments

Fate, Destiny, Will of God. Call it whatever it is but I think all works the same way. All are designed to protect you whatever the costs are. Whatever the costs, you ask? It may or may not ruin your life for a day or you may or may not lose something important. And I guess we need to deal with these things because it is for our own good.

Think of a time when something happened to you and you regretted it deeply. Let's say, you got sick, missed work, missed your promotion, it was given to another and you lose. Another scenario might go like this: You love someone, it's your best friend, you tell her, and you friendship goes down and you get heartbroken then lose a friend. Let's not focus on the negative aspect. What about this? You missed the bus you are about to ride, you take a cab, then on your way, you see the bus that you were supposed to ride, crashed and in flames. Lucky? Wait, that's a bit brutal don't you think? Let's have lighter one. You are a regular nurse caring for all the patients in the ward being nice to them, an old dying cancer patient asks if you could be a private duty nurse for him, you agreed, and as he dies, some of his riches were entitled to you according to his will. You see, this is not just a form of writing that I am exaggerating. These events are and can occur anytime, any day, to somebody, to me, to you, to anybody.

Twisted

Sometimes, It really sucks that the show your watching ends the way you predicted it. It kills the excitement. We complain. Why do they create such TV shows if we know how the story would end? Why do they even bother writing books if you can predict the conclusion? Why re-create movies if it's the same old one? Then directors, novelists, script writers create various twists in our tales just to make them more interesting and to juice up and spice up the regular novel slash movie slash tv series that they make. Again, once they do this, we keep asking, why this, why that, why, why, why, why, why. Don't we get tired of complaining. Sometimes, all we have to do is to go with the flow, see where it goes and don't expect too much because if we do, we get disappointed.

Atrial Flutter or Ventricular Fibrillation: The Heart Matters

"Now I'm about to give you my heart, but remember this one thing, I've never been in-love before so you gotta go easy on me..."

Ever wonder why I entitled my blog with those words? Well, I'm heart broken. Literally. I don't really have a normal cardiac rhythm and cardiac anatomy. It just shows that being heart broken is not all about L-O-V-E, love. I'm not actually bitter because I have been heart broken, twice or thrice in my lifetime. It's really no big deal and I don't get why people are making a fuss out of it, especially this coming Valentine's day. But, let's get to the point of my blog. This isn't about me or my heart broken-ness. This about someone, or rather two people, I know.

Everlasting

Meeting people. I've always been afraid of meeting new people, afraid of what they may think of me as they get to know me, or, afraid of what I label them as who they are. I'm not the friendliest person on the block. I am afraid to interact with the not so many people around the world. I'm really not the type of guy that would become friends too easily. I stand my guard and create barriers to protect myself. This barrier breaks when I find someone irresistible and/or kind. The same way I use an approach. I've had it with fake friends, users, and jealous green eyed monsters. I know a mature person when I see one and I know a mature person when I meet one.

Why on earth am I blabbering about this shit? Because, I have met a lot of awesome people for the past couple of years. Mature and kindhearted people. Easy to get along and shares their knowledge with you. Will be there beside you at you darkest hours and will be ready to protect you at your weakest point. I think this statement goes to all the friend, true friends, I'm starting to have.

The Way We Move Defines Ourselves

This is a story about the events that happened earlier..

I've always had the notion that pleasing everyone before me creates a good impression, for myself and for others. I would always step down just so that there would be no arguments of some sort. I have lived a life full of win-lose situations. The person I talked to wins and the other one loses. I have learned to change that notion gradually because, apparently, pleasing others would only make you lose in every way possible. You lose the pride, the power and most importantly, the self-esteem. I regained myself for the past few years and made it clear that YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE. Yes, you may have to cross the line a few times, but if you don't, you will never get there. There are situations that this statement isn't applicable but almost all the time, it is. I always remember the Filipino saying "Pag gusto, may paraan. Kapag ayaw may dahilan. (If you want it, you find ways to make it happen. If you don't, you reason out)" It almost seems that this saying is congruent to the first one. Let me get started.
